Durst M605 problem worn cog

On an M605 enlarger has anyone replaced the cog that raises/lowers the head? I have the new part and have located where it should go but the original seems to be held in with a split pin or something. I need to know how to get this out as it seems the only way to replace the cog (well worn!!!).Thanks.........Brian

If the pin is rolled into a cylinder shape with a single open seam it is likely a spring steel rollpin.

There are metric-dimensioned versions as well. To remove it you drive them out with a cylindrical tip drive pin punch of a diameter slightly smaller than that of the hole the pin is installed in.
