I've recently picked up a Durst M305 colour head with transformer. Plugged into the wall the bulb illuminates and it seems to work perfectly. However, when I plug it in via the Durst TIM60 timer, the bulb comes on and stays on. The countdown seems to work but the bulb in the head just says on permanently.

Now I have come to two conclusions. Either A. The switch in the timer is broken. Or B. The polarity is reversed somewhere. I'm in the UK and this enlarger came with old continental plugs, from Italy I think as this is where it was manufactured.

The enlarger is like new and was even in the original box. It hasn't seen much use.

Have any of you had similar problems ?

Long shot I know, but I'd be grateful for any advice.

Thanks very much.

Eugene.

There is no polarity issue with such appliances.
