After owning my Lab 54 for the past 5 years, I noticed that I never see any mention ove them on any web site. I just wondered, are there any other Lab 54 users out there.?

The Lab 54 is visually similar to a 60's L138s but only goes up to 5x4 and is bench mounted. The one I have has the focus variator and auto focus.(Apparently matched to a lens, so has never worked for me) It also has the copy camera ability wher the Mirror can be turned through 90 Deg by a lever on the side. The condensors are slightly smaller than the L138, without the carrying handle. It stands about 5 ft tall with more movements than the L138. The head also swivels forward.

Anyone seen or use one ?

No, I have not seen one. Is this the model that allows for front and rear tilt of the negative/lens stage as well as the side to side tilting of all three stages?

No,
You can tilt the head, tilt the lens panel and also slide the lens panel. (You cannot do this on a L138) I'll try and take some pictures over the christmas period of the 54, L138 and the KAMM. If anyone is interested.

Here are some pictures of the L54, L138 with colour head and the 10 x 10 KAMM

Please note the Nikon F3 to help give some sort of scale

The main difference in function between the L54 and L138s is that on the L54 the lens panel not only swivels on its access it also slides left and right, where my L138 only swivels
