I have a problem with my durst laborator 1200, it has a color head cls501 but the fan that is inside it doesn't work, chasis of my enlarger is very hot,
but it seems that is not affected either the film nor the difusion box. My lpl 7700 also color head has been designed without fan and is also very hot.
is this ok or will i have a problem in the future?
thanks

Are the bearings in the fan seized - You may have to partially dismantle the head to find out.
If the bearings are OK, then it is a case of fault-finding. Check to see if power is getting to the fan, then work your way back to the PSU. From memory, I think the fan is 240V so be careful when checking the voltages.

Maybe someone disconnected the fan to reduce vibrations?
The fan should run from 24V, at least mine does.

It won't be a problem until the day you'll forget to switch the lamp off. I would take it apart and fix the fan.
If vibration is an issue, adding a switch for the fan is better than disconnecting it permanently.

Exactly... These fans do fail. I would take it apart and fix the fan.

The form factor is also quite different.
Looks like a special fan.

I set up the power supply to 220v fan switch on and seconds later Switch off
