Got 2 problems with my darkroom safelight.
I'm not an electronician / electrician, but seems easy..

1) I put a red arrow bellow the grey piece. The white screw is a dimmer, permits to modulate the light.
Even pushed to the limit, the power of the light is not enough. Even more if you let the inactinic filter in place.
And the filter obscure a lot, but needs to be in place right...
How to obtain more power?

2) The light is naturally yellow / orange. More amber, with the filter on.
This is not a red filter. Where to find that kind of filter, long like that? I need an other one.

Thank you

I know, but the filter is rigid.

Maybe take a thin glass, the size needed, and tape a filter on it.
Why not...

Looks like that is basically an array of amber leds. If you put a red filter over that, you end up with only a tiny amount of light. It can't be helped. With this light source, you're stuck with the color it emits, end of story. There's also likely no easy trick to increase the light output as the these are just small 5mm 20mA leds of most likely an old type that just don't have a high light output.

If you want red light and lots of it, put this one aside and start over.
