I am looking for a lamp replacement for the Durst L1200 Condenser enlarger. The base of the current bulb reads "P3/4 Enlarger E27", and it is a 150watt / 120volt globe with the European E27 medium screw base (27mm dia).

I've tried most bulb suppliers, B&H, and even Durst Online Shop, with no luck. The closest substitute is the common PH212, but it has the American E26 base (26mm dia). Bulbman says the E26 base is a substitute for the E27, but I can not find confirmation of a cross-over for the PH212.

So, does anyone have this condenser enlarger? What bulb are you using?

Hi,
The one on the shop floor where I work has a ph211 in it and operates fine. (a 211 is the 75W cousin to the 212) I can measure the base w/ a caliper on Sat morning if no one else chimes in. Was your enlarger a US market item or did you buy it abroad?
Celac.

It was a US market item. And thanks for the info! I suspected the PH212 with the slightly smaller E26 base would work, but it is nice to get confirmation before I ordered the bulb.

You could try a regular American household lamp (light bulb) just to test the fit and electrical connection of the base. Don't they have the same base as the PH series of enlarger lamps?
