Is there any companies that still manufacture dry plates for negatives ?

Depends what size you require & how much you're prepared to pay.
Agfa Gevaert def make APX 100 in 6.5 x 9 cm.
You can get Slavich plates in a variety of sizes.
I've also been told that Kodak do special runs for astronomical photography & other types of scientific testing.
Last I heard you are looking at approx $13 per plate from Slavich & Agfa (that's Aussie dollars).

I was looking at the slavich.com website, but it seems to be only plates for holography. Wich plates do You use ?

Slavich panchromatic and orthochromatic plates can be used for normal photography. Normal film can also be used for holography.

the fun part would be to make your own plates..

not too difficult, but VERY slow iso settings..

my girlfriend just cut some glass and tried it today - it looks very promising!

you should consider a visit!

In lieu of a trip to Denmark (although you wouldn't believe how tempted I am to buy a ticket just to see Gandolfi's work!) here is a doable starting point:

Also, Terry Holsinger has published his take on things here:

Best of luck and fun to all prospective dry plate makers,
Denise Ross (TLF chief cook and bottle washer)
