Yep. Anything larger than my TLR is not happening.
Now I am concentrating on resurrecting my 35 mm SLR's and the 'ol 23C II. Everything has been stored since about 1990. I even dusted off the Mamiya C33 TLR.
Someone school me on current B&W thinking. Do most of you develop then scan? Or print a few in your dark room?
How about for posting your work here. Develop & scan?
No - APUG tries to be "a scanning discussion free zone".APUG is a scanning free zone.
Your avatar is scanned. You have just won the coveted Hypocrite of the day award.
As all may observe, I am rather ignorant as to the ethics and politics of APUG.
I am learning though.
But one question lingers in my mind: How do you folks digitally post your analog photos to this digital forum?????
As I mentioned in an earlier post, if the answer is classified and not for public view, then a simple answer may be sent to me via a PM.
Or maybe I have not earned enough points yet to be trusted with an answer.
Oh yeah, I read Matt's statement again: "a scanning discussion free zone".
So I will never know, eh?
Looks like I will be satisfied with making prints on the 'ol Beseler and hanging them up on the barn walls.
Keep the discussion rolling guys, it is good entertainment
John
How do you stand as far as familiarity with digitizing images in general? But one question lingers in my mind: How do you folks digitally post your analog photos to this digital forum?????
You win the coveted Hypocrite of the day award again. Posting a digital photograph is as bad as posting a scan. You are wrong. It was never scanned. It is a digital photograph because I could never get another sunny winter day in Niagara Falls.
How do you stand as far as familiarity with digitizing images in general?
I ask because if you are generally familiar with the options, and how to do things, then it is entirely appropriate to ask about APUG and how to get what you have on to the site, in the places where it is appropriate. We can tell you about what is welcome in the subscriber access galleries, the expectations about what should and shouldn't be uploaded to threads, and about some of the technical details (e.g. permitted sizes) of the uploaders embedded in the site.
People can give you hints as well about what tends to make things look good when uploaded to APUG.
If you need help with scanning or digitizing things in general, than that is what is outside the APUG discussion rules. No one would object though if you asked if people could refer you to a good scanning resource. Even the most rabid analogue APUG purist (and I assure you that I'm not that) wouldn't get upset about that (I think).
+1Make contact prints, problem solved.

True. You are not the only one.It is for a day. Who cares? Not me. If it were a negative it would have had to be scanned anyway. Besides it is not a photograph it is an avatar. Some on APUG have avatars they drew with Fauxto$hop.
