I picked up some lens elements on the cheap at the auction site. I haven't come across info on them through google. The lens reads "Dr. Farber's Rapid-Aplanat f:7,5"
Both the front and rear cell tread size are about 31-ish mm.

Thanks for your help.

From the limited info I've found its from 1905 or before and I did a rough measurement and the threads look to be 30mm. Any hints on a shutter that'd work?

Paul found this image of a f/8 version of the lens in a shutter. I'd like to know more about this type of shutter, or a possible manufacturer. Thanks

Don't know the shutter make but it appears to be missing the shutter speed dial, which would be on the large brown circular piece at the top of the shutter. An aplanat is a rapid rectilinear design, capable of making decent pictures if you can find a shutter for it. RR lenses are cheap and available on the web, a capable design but nothing to jump up-and-down over. Once the anastigmats, tessars, protars, dagors came on the market, RR lenses kind of became the cheap option for lower-end users. They tend to be soft at the edges and corners unless stopped way, way down.
