Before I open my first box of 16 X 20 paper, can someone tell me if what Kentmere calls double weight of its' 16X20 is the same thickness as their double weight 8X10?

I would like to set the enlarger focus before I open the box and don't have any 16X20 to set focus with. For composition I am using a piece of mat board but know the fine focus will be different.

TIA,

I'd be very surprised if it were different.

Sheets are cut from master rolls so I would say yes, not to worry. I haven't printed on Kentmere, but I have never seen a difference in papers from Ilford, Kodak, Oriental, Agfa in that regard. Print away!

Larger sheets of paper can seem more flimsy just because they are larger. I sometimes wish that 16x20 were THICKER, but alas, all paper sizes are cut from the same master roll.
