Personally I love going to Greece the people are so warm open & friendly, it's a relaxed way of life, remember they do take a Siesta in the afternoon heat even in some tourist spots.
I like retsina - but it is an acquired taste!
The idea of mixing it with Coca-Cola though I do not like.
That explains the acropolis thendon't pay any taxes and you'll fit in nicely.
And if you're wondering why most of the buildings aren't finisned but people are living in them, its because you don't pay taxes on buildings until they're finsished.

Not all Ouzo, mostly it's sweet and horrible but there are dry ones that are no different to Pernod or Raki. Go to Paris and the French mostly drink Paul Ricard, Pernod is for the tourists.

Just be aware that banks and ATMs may be shut without notice at the moment. It might be wise to have several days reserve of cash (euros) in your bag.
