Don Ho has passed away. Who can hear tiny bubbles and not start to smile? What can be said about an artist who made so many smile for so long?

Odd, just the other day I was wondering; "Is Don Ho still alive?".

Guess I just learned the answer - sorry to hear. While not my style or generation - for millions he WAS Hawaii.

He was a fixture in Honolulu. He hadn't been in great health for the last year or so. Before he became famous for songs like "Tiny Bubbles," he had a reputation as a hot jazz organist. Once you get past the cheesy stuff, Benny Chong, the ukulele player in Don Ho's band, "The Ali'i," might be called the Joe Pass of the ukulele.

Hey, hey, hey!! You can say "Don Imus", but you can't say "Don Ho".

So knock it off!
