Domke Gripper

I bought a leather jacket, and I'm worried that the rubber on the Domke Gripper strap will leave marks. Has this happened to anyone?

yes. donkey straps (bag and camera) have scarred my soft leather coat rather fast. my big thick biker jacket is holding better but it's showing wear, too. i don't mind the leather, but i'm definitely keeping them away from my harris tweed
