Is a Domke F-2 bag big enough to carry around an RB67 with two lens (one on the camera, another separately), a few rolls of film, and a couple of filters?

It’s a big enough bag but the standard 2x2 padded insert might make it difficult. Moving the insert to one side should give enough soace for the body on the other side. It might be off-balance, though. And it won’t be well padded. If you can make that bag work with your gear you’ll really like it… a classic camera bag.

My gut tells me it would be tight. I keep a D800 w/ grip and 70-200 2.8 and its tight. When in college I forced my Hasseblad and two lenses and a couple backs into it but it was not ideal. Might look at the F1x. Both are excellent bags. My F2 is the most permanent item in my collection. If you don't have one, and have the spare dough, it would be worth having.

It’s really designed for 35mm cameras. The F2, that is.

Thanks. I’ll look at the F1x. Do you know if the padded insert that comes with the F1x is larger that the one that comes with the F2?

Unfortunately, the demise of all the local brick-and-mortar camera stores means I have to ask questions like this on discussion forums rather than trying the bags in person.

Dimensions and pictures are on the Domke website. Not nearly as good as seeing and touching, of course.

Hate to say it at this point but Amazon does have most of the domke line listed and their return policy is stellar.

… especially if there’s a Coles department store nearby!

You can remove the stock insert and find another one that works for you. I configured an F-2 for a Super-8 camera, for instance, with a 3 section insert that runs the width of the bag, but only takes up half the depth, so the camera with a long zoom lens goes in front, and other lenses and accessories go in the three cells in back.

Found a Domke F2 for a good price and it's on its way. If it turns out to be too small to accommodate the RB67 I'll use it for the 35mm outfit I'm building up.

One camera or another… you’ll love it. Glad you got a good deal; I really like good deals!
