When I trying to photograph and it feels like that, I just don't take any pictures. If I can't connect to the subject, I can't take a decent picture.

Some days I go out mostly as a mechanical exercise, knowing it just won't happen. Occasionally I am surprised, and it DOES happen that I shoot something worthwhile. So I keep at it.

But I know what you mean.

Way too often, it turns out that my work *looks* like that, even though I was sure it was going to be a work of genius when I was producing it.

Geez, this photography stuff is hard. What happened to that "you press the button, we do the rest" thing???

Work that looks or feels Blah will hit the dust long before it gets printed. I'm my worse censor then comes my wife... Very little work makes it to the "wall".
