Seems like my R09 has crystals in it. Does this need to be shaken before mixing. Does something seperate out when it is sitting there for months?

I had very thin negatives the first time I used R09. Then I changed several things and my latest negatives are far better - they look normal. I changed the following:

1) I shook the R09 in the bottle before mixing.
2) I used 1:40 rather than 1:100
3) I changed the time to 8 min instead of 18 min

I know, too many changes to be an experiment. However, I wonder if anybody has found that R09 needed shaking before mixing. Or if that was something irrilevent in my changes.

Thanks.
