Hello, I'm new in the forum, I'm Arnoud and I like to 'knutsel' (DIY)
now I was wondering; when I put an Elmaron 150 2.8 on my horseman LE 4x5
will I get a reasonable (some vignetting is accepted) coverage of the film,
or is the circle way to small? does anybody know?

Those projection lenses typically are mounted in a long barrel, sufficient for covering the intended format.
To unveil their "real" coverage you would have to shorten the barrel. So likely it is up to yourself to find out.
Designwise it strongly resembles a Cooke triplet and as such should work as standard lens.

The direction of the light rays won't change the format coverage. So, it should cover its intended format at infinity without problems.

The intended format though is 24x36mm not 4x5" ...

thanks so far, the intended format is 6x6, but than again, the intended format for a 135 hektor 4.5 is also 24x36... but it covers almost 5x7"......

nope, that's right, but that one can be screwed off, in order to connect it to a bellows. (I have a 150mm 3.5 something projection lens, and that one covered the whole 4x5"...)But,I don't have the Elmaron yet, I'll have to check it out before I'll get one..
