Hi, dear friends;

about a year ago I got hold of a very nice Laborator 138 C in perfect condition and also a Graflex, Crown Graphic 4x5. I habe three Fujinon lenses: 105mm, 150mm and 250mm.

My question: Will a 75mm with Copal 0 fit the Crown Graphic for landscape photography without extras?

Looking forward to your experiences! - Many Thanks!

Jan-Peter

Yes. I've used my 75mm f8 Super Angulon on mine once or twice on my Crown Graphic, it's a bit fiddly and you need to drop the front bed but it's not difficult to work with.

I have used a 65 mm lens with a flat board on my CG. As mentioned, you do need to drop the bed.

Thanks, Ian and Dex so far;

what do you mean with "dropping the front bed"? - Do you mean to lower the front bed as a slight angle that it allows - or is it anything else, more sophisticated? - Do I have space enough to lower the front bed for infinity distance?

Excuse me to call again.

Dropping the bed on a Graphic looks like this:

Thansk, DJ Dister;

now I know what is ment: I have to lower the front bed - however the lens remains in the rear bed. The front bed is lowered because of the wider angle not to interfere with the picture I want to take.

Thanks a lot for this explanation!

Thanks, shutter-finger;

this really is great help, indeed! - Thanks for this link; I will try to somehow copy this. - It explains a lot of thinks that was not known or not really known to me. - The diagrams are very helpful indeed - particularly on prolonging exposing times!

Thanks a lot, shutter-finger;

that again was great help, particularly the download for the Grafmatic Repair Manual! - I think I have to put one of my Grafmatics apart and see for the light-seal?!
