Hi all. I am slowly becoming a seasoned Hybrid photographer, having now got about 9 years of experience scanning my film. With some more time on my hands, I am exploring the full potential of GIMP for post processing, having hitherto only used it to spot dust and adjust levels. I feel like I have opened Pandora's box as I had missed the ability to dodge and burn in my mothballed darkroom. Who else uses GIMP and what do you think of it ? Examples please.

Both these taken with my Leica M6
on HP5+ @ ei200 and developed in Ilfosol 3 then scanned with a Plustek scanner ising Silverfast, then imported into GIMP for 'Lightroom" work.

I used it and found it a very viable alternative to Photoshop.
The price is right too.
Combined with Darktable on Linux and you can have a Photo editing setup for the price of the hardware only.

However, with PS and LR costing me only $10 a month I have little reason to use anything else. For Windows and Mac.
