I tend to have a favourite I use for a few weeks and start wondering should I sell off my other cameras and their bits and pieces.

Then for no reason when I'm bored I start fiddling with my other cameras, pick one and class that as a favourite for the next couple of weeks and so the cycle goes on and on.

I tend to use them in some sort of rotation with no favourite apart from the one I'm using at the time which took my fancy.

Wish I could settle on just one or two and have a mini clear out, but I can't see that happening just yet.

I sold off nearly all my cameras, kept only the ones I shoot. I have my OM-1 with a couple of lenses and accessories, Fuji GW690ii, and my view cameras.

The only one I don't use is a Canon FT-b that was gifted to me. The shutter varies so widely (2-3 stops in either direction) that I simply do not trust it.

But all the others I use. Maybe not on a regular basis, but they do get film run through them.

I have few that I don't shoot with, my Pen F, a Balda 6X6 folder, and I have few that I keep as spears, such as Miranda EEs. I have others that have no resale value and I likely just toss, my Sigma SD 7 and 9 the viewfinders are turning yellow, if they darken any more the will not be usable. Rotate the rest of my gear, I had shot with Mirandas just switched to M 42 and K mount gear including my first SLR a spotmatic.

No.
Some cameras I have not run a single roll through since I acquired them.
But I have a hard time parting with all that camera stuff. It's a minor compulsion, I can deal with it if I want to (sure you can John, just keep lying to yourself like that).

It is impossible to answer this question because you don't tell us what you need to do with a camera. This is akin to asking,"'What is the best car fro me to buy?" A compact or p&s might serve you well, or you might require an 8x10.

Gathering dust in my closet, a Nikon F100, a Rollei 35S and a 4x5 with 4 lenses. The 35mm cameras aren't valuable enough to worry about and I love my 4x5 and have too much 4x5 film to let it go.

Not really, and even some that I use aren't used very often. In 35mm I still have a Konica FP from the early 60s that I bought new and shot for nearly 20 years, but the shutter, a vertical traveling metal Copal Square, started acting up. It could be fixable but I'm not sure I want to spend the money. Its replacement circa 1981 was a Canon A-1 (subject of a recent lo-o-ong thread) which I still occasionally use and have a number of lenses for. In Canon FD stuff, I also have my dad's AE-1, and an original F-1, but I seldom shoot either, last I looked the AE-1 could use a seal replacement. My venerable, bought new at the end of 1957, Argus C-3 is shot at least once a year, spurred on by Argus Day festivities. These days most of my film photography is with a Bronica SQ-A, Yashica Mat 124g or one of two folders (Perkeo II, Ercona II), depending on how serious and what sort of project is at hand.

(And at the moment there is a half finished roll of Delta 100 in my Minox B!!!)

If you love that 4x5 so much, why is it gathering dust?

It used to be my work camera for commercial photography and for a couple of decades I used it nearly every day. Now my photography is all "personal work" and I use 8x10 for still life and 120 roll film for landscape. The 4x5 went from being absolutely essential to not fitting in anywhere. I really hope the time will come when it becomes important to use again. It might.

Do I use all of them: No.
Do I use most of them: Yes, well.... depending on the time frame.
Have I never used some: yes

I've had this kick of switching things up a little bit recently. Traded my 4x5 monorail (only shot with 5-10 sheets) for a Kiev 88CM to play with. The Kiev (like my Bronica SQ-A) is more of my shooting style.

Unfortunately, the SQ-A has taken a back seat to the RZ67 and P6x7.

I try to take take different cameras around.

ETA: Of course I have some kits that were given to me that I've never shot. Since they were given to me by family, I'll probably not part with them out of respect.

With the exception of two "shelf queens" (noted in several other threads...lol) and cameras currently in the queue for repair/CLA (an M6 for the former and a pair of F2s for the latter), all of my cameras see regular usage.

I make a special effort to find new homes for camera and processing equipment that I know I won't be using. On several occasions I went far with my house cleaning. But that's okay. Having all of that equipment setting idle is of little value. And there's always someone out there that can use it. For the cameras I have retained, I do use them.

I have a camera in each car (my wife's and mine) that are there "just in case". They are essentially unused.

I have not yet used each one of them. A few still need a bit of work. My Nikon F with Photomic FTn viewfinder still needs a proper Nikkor-S Auto 50/1.4 before I load it with film to test the meter. A few others were stow-aways which came in with cameras I purchased. Those may not ever get used, if they even work.

All but 2 in varying amounts. My Yashica 124 and Hanimex Praktica Super TL. Both are in need of some TLC and cash is tight these days.

No.

I have four or five that are regularly used.

All the others are used occasionally, maybe once or twice a year.

But I do not stay static. I evolve over time.

Who knows which cameras will be my favorites next year. :D

Yes I use all of them if I use a year as the time measurement unit. I am told I am a camera collector, but I do not think so as every camera is used at least once a year. Every camera I have has a purpose of best use which I generally stick to. Some days I think I have too many cameras and other days I think I do not have enough. In the past cameras I have not used in a year have found a new home.

I have two I do not use. One takes 117 film and the other takes 620 film. I am just too plain lazy to rewind 120 film onto new spools.
