No, we are not allowed to have any cameras or recording equipment at work.

Always. Today it was a Mamiya 645 w/ grip, a 150 f3.5 and an 80 f2.8, some screw-on close-up lenses, a Luna Pro F meter, a Nikon SB-28 flash and an Ikoflex la TLR. Various filters for each camera and a few other accessories. Large (heavy) bag to hold it all and a Bogen tripod in the car. Also always have my Canon G10 with me if I feel lazy.

I rarely go anywhere without either my car or my wife's car.

Each of the cars has a 35mm rangefinder in the trunk ("boot", for those who prefer that term).

My car has my main tripod and a monopod in the trunk. My wife's car has our smaller tripod in its trunk.

When I was working, I nearly always had a camera with me. I did get a few decent shots because of it, but didn't always have time to stop and get a shot that I saw 'cause I was on the way to a scene. I also ended up using it for work on occasion if it wasn't a serious enough case for the official photo crew to be called out. Once though, I was taking the driving class and got to run through the course in my personal car and realized as I was doing the slalom that the thumps I kept hearing were my then brand-new tripod in the trunk flopping back and forth.

I recently bought a Certo Six with 2.8/80mm coated Tessar for that very purpose, to carry it along wherever I go. Great lens, great camera, just a bit slow to operate (but I still have to get used to it).
Previously, I had a Plaubel 67. Sadly, I sold that one

I usually have a camera with me when I go to work, typically my Nikon F3 or my Yashica Lynx 5000e, or an Olympus Stylus if I feel like traveling light. But even if I don't bring one of them, there are cameras at work, too. I'm surrounded by them!

I used to. I haven't carried a camera with me regularly in months though.

I carry either a 35mm or an instax with me everyday to work. Sometimes it's worth it, sometimes it's not but for the days it's not, I just think of it as weight training instead.

Hey, gotta try and see the positive in things

There's a lot of truth in the old adage "the best camera is the one you have with you".

They don't let cameras through the doors where I work, and for some time they even disabled the cameras on people's company cell phones for the same reason.
I've been known to display a 5x7 camera at my desk anyway, just for fun, and it does catch a lot of attention.

I keep a 35mm in the car though. You just never know if something spectacular is going to rear itself.

Always have a Holga and/or (usually and) a Nikon FE2 kit in the car all the time. I always take one with on a daily walk I take during the lunch hour.

I wish I had an hour for lunch. Can't get much done in half an hour.

It's where the new cameras cool down until my wife sees photos taken with them
