Dear God no.

No modern-day lens designer would design optics using a thorium-doped lens, and any optician would refuse to work with thorium. Cancer and answering to EPA / OSHA (or their European / Asian equivalents) are not worth the perceived benefits.

Don't ever request it of anyone in the optical industry.

There are better performing glass types available today anyhow.
