An update to tie this tread off.

The film advance lever cap, which has an opposite threaded post (lefty tighty not righty tighty), has been fixed, no adhesive needed. This is what I did. With the camera on a flat solid surface, I used a big soft pencil eraser, pressed down firmly turning counter clockwise (left) while at the same time holding the advance lever so it didn't move. This seems to have worked. For now anyway. It's all snugged up and it doesn't spin off when you advance the film with the lever.
