Get a card from a well reputated manufacurer. Avoid no name cards. And check with your camera capabilities.

I'm sure the answer is on the 'net, someplace - all you have to do is wade through the hyperbole, marketing, sales and hype to determine the answer.

Good advice. I like to keep that in mind when I buy memory cards.

Images digitally are a bunch of 1's and 0's, written identically regardless of the speed or capacity of the bucket that holds them (the memory card). Zero difference in what is recorded on them.

That’s good to know so I won’t spend $900 on a Pro Grade memory card…

There are cameras which require the use of more expensive cards for one reason or another. Usually because the expensive cards have higher write speeds which are necessitated by certain functions like high speed burst shooting or high resolution high frame rate video.

You should always consult the manual for your camera to see what kind of card is recommended
