Do anyone have experience in high-power(50W) LED enlarger head ?

Hi,
Can anyone share the experience in using a high-power LED as the light soruce (Let's say 50W) ?

I found the 50W led white light have 3000 - 4000 lm, do it suitable for enlarger light source ?

White LEDs use phosphors just like fluorescent lamps. They may or may not be suitable. They would cost way more than a $10 halogen bulb.

Do you mean these guys? Some of which are available here?

Those are some serious lumen output specs. I think they are intended for city street light replacements, or the like.

Here's someone who looks like he's played around quite a bit with the 100-watt version. Love that nighttime illuminated lighthouse example.

But I don't think the white ones are continuous spectrum sources. I would think that the blue-only color would be more efficient for graded paper exposures. And a continuously variable blend of discreet blue and green for VC papers.
