This obviously started life as a pre-anniversary Speed Graphic, but then somebody took it apart, stripped the leather off the main body, varnished it and (maybe)put a new(er) bellows on it. Whatever was done, what we have now is a Speed body, complete with a curtain that does not easily roll but has no obvious holes. There is a back with the GG and spring now separated from the wood surround (easily reattached), no lens board or lens, no rangefinder or stand-off for a flash. The strap handle is in very good condition and the front standard rolls out fine on the rack- no problems there. I will include a better curtain, removed from another, newer speed by somebody else. I can also include the rest of a spring back if you want, but the screw patterns on the back are for an Anniversary Speed, not this one. It will fit, but it will take some re-drilling.

Think of it as a kit, from which you can build a Speed Graphic. Good for the tinkerer.

$120 shipped in conus, more elsewhere. Satisfaction guaranteed.

gorgeous wood in those things. Makes you wonder why the felt a need for the leather cover, except it was the style.

Nice piece of kit, great for the Petzvals etc :D

Price is excellent as well. If I didn't already have a back log of restoration projects I'd snap this one up.

As I see it, it's about 15 minutes away from being usable. I don't quite get the viewfinder-looking thing folded down where the normal finder goes. But all in all, it's only a few minutes away from being tripod-ready. Need a lens and GG, but that looks like about it.

There's a GG screen in the ffocus screen panel, you can see the clipped corners in the photos :D

Some Speed Graphics were made to special order using that different view finder, I have a WA version which has part of the body cut a away at the top to allow rise with an Wide angle lens.

The GG back is from an anniversary Speed spring back I found along with the wooden camera at the PHSNE warehouse. I found that the actual panel and spring fit fine, so I'm including them, but they didn't come together. It might take more than 15 minutes, but this is surely a project that can end well. No takers?
