I used the 6x6" Ilford MG filters for quite a while now by just lying them on top of the upper condenser. This worked so la-la in terms of handling. Unfortunately the original Taufil filter holder is made from Unobtanium and still needs bigger (120x120mm) filter sheets.

So, yesterday was the day. Two pieces of 4mm thick ply, my old circular saw (leftover from my model railway time), some glue, some paint.
A bit of cutting, glueing and painting. There it is...

Fits snugly between the columns of the condensor holders, depending on the position of the condensors above or below them.

Well done! That'll work fine. What's nice is your filter tray is now far from the bulb. Normally it sits about 5cm from the bulb, which in my case is a 200 watt large bulb for the Durst 138. I found a Durst heat absorbing glass that sits between the lamphouse and the mirror house. And I built a small fan inside the lamphouse's hole for the Durst ventilator. That works.

The L1000 is a wonderful basic enlarger. I do large prints and found the Durst wall mount which changes a lot the possibilities of this enlarger.
