Was searching for a dry mount press on auction and one of the automatically suggested items was a pants press (for ironing trousers) for $10.00. I don't know what temperature it goes up to, but the machine indicates 280 watts of power. Anyone ever experiment with such a contraption for pressing fiber paper up to 8x10s?

I've dry mounted prints up to 11x14 using aregular clothes iron.
Likewise - I cut open a brown paper grocery bag and used that between the print and iron. I have mounted dozens of prints that way...but it has been many years ago.

That said, it's better than a dry mount press, in that you can't use a dry mount press to iron your pants.

Come to think of it, for years I've had a secret urge to mount and frame prints in the shape of trousers. Now I can achieve my vision!
