As mentioned, the design is not ideal. But, since you are this far I'd suggest:

1) hold it together with tape from the outside
2) lay a thick fillet of JB Weld (or other strong epoxy) on each inside edge

Slow setting epoxy is stronger. May need 30 min for each fillet.

If you don't have access to black spray paint, line the inside with black fabric.

A 210mm 5.6, but I do not expect to get the full 6x17 frame.

The lens you bought from me has a 298mm image circle, just short of covering 8x10",though the literature claims it will cover.

If I give the obvious answer I'll be banned, so I'll ask the obvious question instead. Why not prototype with cardboard or foamcore first?

I asked that same question elsewhere. My one word response to this thread would definitely have me banned.

Moderator hat on,
If you are polite and at least somewhat constructive, no worry about bans from here.
Otherwise, why not just let others come to their own conclusions about the value of the thread?
Hat off.

Blu Tack and Duct tape. If that fails - rubber bands.
Tip for the future: you can solder galvanized steel sheets.
