Distagon 50 mm CF FLE vignetting.

Hi all.
I got the first test shot with Distagon 50 mm CF FLE. I was struck by degree of vignetting see pick. Shot was taken without the hood at distance of ~1 m and f4. Any thoughts will be appreciated.

BTW I use the Rolleiflex 50mm Distgon PQ for 60% of all my rollfilm work. It is a great lens.

An interesting thing about the lens is the light falloff curves for the 38mm Biogon, 40mm Distagon and the 50mm Distagon are all about the same wide open. When stopped down, the 50mm is the best. The Hasselblad version should serve you well.

To the OP: the Zeiss datasheet shows in the relative illuminance diagram that there is severe vignetting at f/4; 0.2 = 2.3 stop darker in the far corners of a 56 x 56mm negative. So what you see is "normal". Stopping down improves things.

I never noticed it on mine but you definately have it.On the other hand ,I never used it wider than f/8;That might help.

That is just the normal 1/cos4ø loss. It shows up in almost all the very wide angle lenses.
