I know you didn't ask for this advice, but a used F301 (AKA in USA as N2000) are so inexpensive it seems more prudent to buy a new body and keep that one for spares..
Solved :- The small metallic pins that have corresponding holes on the mirror act as a hinge for the mirror. One of those pins had dislodged from the hole in the mirror, causing the mirror to rotate incorrectlyIt appears the pivot pin/shaft or retainer has broken or the mirror box is distorted allowing the pivot shaft to come out of position.
