What film size is the "Coca Cola" of which you speak? Is it for prints or slides?

Agfachrome 100 in the late 1980s was a great film--understated and kind of pastel. It was perfect for printing to Cibachrome without any masking required usually.

Kodachrome 25. Didn't understand how much better than Kodachrome 64 it was when I was shooting Kodachrome. I've only shot three rolls of it in my life, one in the 1970's, two in the last few years. Have one left to shoot.

Kodachrome Professional 200. Not the consumer stuff, never got a roll that was on-color. The pro stuff was lovely.

If it weren't for Kodak Portra, I'd be unhappy about how hyped up the contrast and saturation are on consumer C-41 films, due to Fuji starting the saturation/contrast wars with Kodak. The old Kodacolors, such as VR, were much more natural in the "pre-Gold" era.

Kodacolor II - my Dad's negs (usually!) look great when scanned. I loved the smell of the paper.

Scotch Chrome 1000 - probably the nearest I'll ever get to Autochromes.

Kodachrome 64 in 120. I enjoyed one roll, and then 'twas gone.

Choice seems to have been discontinued in all formats.

OT: My friend just gave me a box of 50 sheets that has been expired since '97. Kind of scratching my head on what to use it on. Was Vericolor type S basically a precursor to Portra?

We should never forget Polaroid with so many "films" it would be hard to list them all. Although most were not strictly film based, I think that's splitting hairs compared to all that they did for the photography world and the science of color and vision. I never used their 35 mm films which always seemed to be overly cute to me; however, It would be interesting to hear from someone who used their instant 35mm products.

Dr. Land was always one of my hero's; someone who was so creative and never got the notoriety he deserved because he was always operating out by himself. I was just reading Dr. Land's Wiki page which says he died in 1981 and that: "Upon his death, his personal assistant shredded his personal papers and notes." Considering all he must have know about the chemistry of film development I would have loved to browse through his papers.

It was Jody Dole's standby in the 1990s after he stashed a bunch in deep-freeze. His work was how I even learnt it existed.
