You mean NP-20 and NP-15? Or did FS sell it under different names?
Rollei pan 25 should be very similar stuff to Orwo NP-15.

APX 100 in 120 but particularly sheet film sizes, I switched to Tmax (for all sizes) when they dropped sheet film. APX 25 in 120 was my back up film in a roll film back with my Wista. We'll get APX100 back at some stage via Fotoimpex in all sizes, once the flood of cheap APX 100 35mm film is mopped up.

Would like to see Delta 400 in sheet film again.

APX 100 as well. I finally used up my last APX 100 a few weeks ago, I had 18, 135 rolls at the start of the year.

I'll second that. Pan X in Microdol gave truly Ansel Adams-like landscape detail and tonal range. Bring back Panatomic X! I can live without Verichrome Pan.

I know somebody that nearly quit photography when Panatomic-X was discontinued.

Personally, I don't get that hung up on films. I used to use Agfa APX100 in 120 rolls a lot processed in Rodinal, but I got over it very quickly when I started using Ilford FP4+ with Pyrocat developer. Then later I focused on Tri-X 400, also in Pyrocat. Missing APX 100 lasted for a few months.
There's so much good film out there that I don't feel bad about it at all now, as I like my current film choice of Kodak Tmax much more.

OOPS--I almost forgot PANATOMIC-X I learned to shoot on this , probably shot 5-6 rolls a week in the late 60's ASA 32 and very forgiving.

2475 recording film was fun - I took a few rock concerts with it and it had a terrible gritty grain that was miles behind Delta 3200, but if it was grain you wanted, then it certainly had grain!

Konica 750 was also a sad loss, it did really amazing things to skin tones and was so fine grained.

I'm not sure I'm too upset, though. Despite the fact that film is supposed to be nearly dead and the whole world has gone digital, there actually seems to be a lot of very good stuff about and new things arrive all the time, as long as we keep buying the immediate future is looking pretty promissing!

We'll have to cross our fingers on that one...FotoImpex will try to make a go of it but it's no sure thing.

There's still plenty of the Rollei-boxed stuff out there, so we'll have to wait a bit.

Foma 100 is said to be a very, very close match for APX 100 and is available in sheets.

Fomapan 100 isn't close to AP100 at all, it's god but not that good it's near the bottom of the heap with regards to Iford, Fuji, Kodak and Agfa technology and quality..

Fotoimpex have APX100 firmly in their sights, and plan to bring it back.

For me it's APX, I have about 1 rolls of 120 and about 10 rolls 35mm and thanks to the generosity of an APUG member I have 10 rolls of APX 25 in 35mm for this summer, my one regret is I never used the APX 25 in 120.
Apart from that I feel we have a rich and diverse range of films to choose from, I'm going to make hay while the sun is shining.

Which B&W films from ex Soviet union and ex communist area are discontinued that you liked / tested? I am asking because I would like to get them (if possible) on ebay, and test them. If they are foggy and bad - maybe in combination with Lith print I can get some interesting results anyhow.

Not remotely in terms of quality, but tonality maybe.

In a thread somewhere else here on APUG Mirko indicated that APX25 wasn't a practical possibility, some of the ingredients aren't available any more and sales were to low which was why Agfa discontinued it.

The previously mentioned post about another photographer almost quitting over Panatomic-X got me thinking: If Kodak discontinued Tri-X, I'd be pretty pissed off about it. I don't think I'd quit photography but I'd be pretty bummed out. So in the prior case I can somewhat understand where they're coming from. I'd still find other film to shoot, however.

If (and I know it won't get to this point so let's not get carried away) it was a single emulsion available of just Lucky films I might have a problem then. If I were forced to shoot digital I think that I'd be so resentful it would be hard to continue.

I think having to shoot digital may not be the end for me. In my case I don't care how the negative comes to be, if it's digital or real film, but for me the magic happens at the printing stage, so I'd probably pick up pt/pd or something like that. Maybe I'd do wet plate negatives and print those. The possibilities are pretty much endless.
