The attention that the death of Kodachrome has created peeked my interest. Are there any discontinued B&W films you really miss?

Plus-X in sheet sizes...though FP4 does do the trick.

Agfa APX 100. Never tried APX 25, but I know that it was beloved by many. (There is actually lots of APX 100 still out there in 35mm, I shot it mostly in 120.)
Also, I am sad that I never got to try Verichrome Pan.

HIE. The discontinuation of HIE was a crime.

Technical Pan. I shot a few rolls early on. Amazing stuff. Plus-X is an OK replacement, but the look of Technical Pan was amazing.

Never got the chance to shoot HIE, but apparently there's a replacement for it on Freestyle now.

DEFINATLY APX any speed or size (along with FORTE polywarmtone paper) Verichrome pan Royal-X pan

OOPS--I almost forgot PANATOMIC-X I learned to shoot on this , probably shot 5-6 rolls a week in the late 60's ASA 32 and very forgiving.

Tech Pan is still out there but expensive. However, it is a bargain compared to the Agfa APX.
The replacement for HIE is much slower and requires a tripod.

You said it first. FP4 not quite the same for me.

You are right. The "glow" is different. I imagine this is due to spectral sensitivity more than anything else, just like with Tri-X compared to HP5. It is a gorgeous film, however.

I highly disagree. TP is incredibly overpriced compared to APX. People go nuts over techpan.

I liked Technical Pan. Not enough to bemoan it like I would if Plus-X or HP5 were discontinued, but I liked it nonetheless.

I did NOT like it enough to pay $10+ for a roll of 120.

Verichrome Pan.

APX 25 and 100.I've got 6 25's and 4 100's in 120 size in my freezer and can't find a good enough reason to use 'em,they'll probably die there while I use delta 100 and 400 for everything else.

Type 55.
