Does anyone know where I can purchase a roll of direct positive photo paper or even reverse process photo paper in a roll? I would appreciate any help!

B&H had Ilfochrome paper in long rolls last I checked. Freestyle sells Ilfochrome stuff too, but you have to call them and place a special order.

Thanks so much!!! I will see if I can find that then. We had no idea making a camera as they did in the depression was going to be such an ordeal. But this might put us on the right track!! Thanks again.

Not having so much luck with the ifochrome paper in rolls. We need them in rolls that are about an inch and half wide and several feet long.

hi there

why don' t you contact a vending company near you
one that might have one of these photo booths
in a mall or fun-fair
and ask them what supplier they use to
get their paper?
it seems a lot easier than trying to re-invent the wheel.
the direct positive paper at freestyle is efke and only comes in
small sheets. it is very contrasty and more than likely would not work well
in a booth.

here is a list of locations
and info on the international photo booth convention!
maybe they can help you locate your suppiers

good luck!

Well, we are kind of trying to reinvent the camera used during the depression by some photographers in Arkansas. We need the rolls of paper film that are about an inch and half wide. The stuff they use now are for digital photos, at least that we can find. What we really need is the stuff they would have used in the 20's and 30's. I have sent those folks an email but have not heard back from them yet. I will keep trying vintage photo booth people as I find them, they are just few and far between.

it sounds like a fun project!
i also noticed that some of the photobooths are using
modern technology ... some of the ones on that list of locations
look like olde time booths from the lost era.
not sure if it helps, or if it is a dead end you have already travelled down
but there seems to be an old booth at sparky's roadhouse tavern in eureka springs arkansas.
maybe a call to there, and to ask who services it might be helpful ..
i will call the local bus station and the place in newport "the list" suggests
has a booth, and i will ask them the same question.

Color or B+W? depression was definitely before most mainstream color processes.

You could try polaroid film. Not realistic for that time but I believe you can buy instant film for similar purposes not in packs.

You could always cheat using the positive B+W paper. You could have the strips precut or something.

B & W paper for sure. I will check out the location in Eureka Springs for sure. Maybe tomorrow.
