Dipping my toes in Camera and Lens repair

Hello everybody,

hope you all are safe and healthy, and if not I wish you a quick recovery for whatever ails you with no after effects.

I find myself having a lot of free time so I decided to try and fix a couple of items (or at least take them apart and put them back together) that I bought a while back but never worked.
The lens is a Canon FD 50mm 1.8 S.C. and the Camera is a Canon A1 (I know, probably not the best camera to start with but it is the only non-working camera that I own).

I do have a Service Manual for the A1 but I cannot seem to locate any manuals on FD lenses (breach or new ones). Does anybody know of a source?
