Hi
I just bought a Nikon F80D for my son who is intereted by film photography (19 years old)...like his father. So, he wear glasses and have some view problems and I tought that his experience will be better if we can adjust dioptric correction. There is a small ''lever'' just right to the ocular but I can't see what to do....push, lift, press. Is there somebody who have use this adjustment? Also, is there an option to change ocular (view finder) to help my son with his glasses?

Sorry for my English, I hope I am clear

Best regards

From the N80 manual :
''The finder dioptre enables near- or far-sighted photographers to adjust
the eyepiece dioptre to suit their vision.
• Remove the rubber eyecup and slide the dioptre adjustment lever while
looking through the viewfinder until the focus brackets or other displays in the
viewfinder appear sharp. Attach the rubber eyecup again after adjustment...''

--

This is only for people having moderately bad eyesight - diopter range is -1.8 to +0.8 DP.

By adding additional an eyepiece correction lens ( Diopter DK-20C) you can extend this to -5 to +3 diopters.
