Hi all,

Age has come with a load of presbyopia diopters, 2 to be precise. I would like to get a correction lens for my Nikons but have a couple of questions.
- Are diopters for presbyopia positive or negative?
- Nikon says that its standard finder has a -1 correction. For a presbyopia that requires a correction lens of 2 diopters (I do not know if they are positive or negative), which correction lens should I use in the finder?

Thanks a lot. Cheers.

You may want to ask your eye doctor what correction you need.
My eyesight is -3 (near-sighted), so I bought a Nikon DK-20C -3 diopter and it works perfectly.

They should be positive.
I am like Jeff, I need -3 for myopia.
If you can try +1 and +2.

Thanks to both.

I will try with optician and see what he says. Meanwhile, I will start looking for correction lenses.

The diopteric strength of the Nikon camera+correction lens is written on the correction lens. You only have to worry about this if using the Nikon diopters on non-Nikon cameras.

In general presbyopia correction of "2" as you indicated, would be "+2" so try a Nikon "+2" lens.
