What's so complicated? So long as my computer monitor screen shows me a picture that looks like the thing you made out of light-sensitive materials I can't complain. The intermediate steps, maybe scanning, maybe re-imaging with some sort of camera, would all have to be legitimate if original appearance is preserved.

If you scan a positive show me the positive.
If you scan a negative show me the negative.
If you scan a negative and cook it Photoshop (etc) so it displays as a positive on my monitor screen I have no reason to look at it. Surely APUG is a sanctuary from pictures synthesised in cyberspace.
