I hope this is the right location for this. It is digital in nature. If in the wrong place please move.

Has anyone used a Cambo Actus B with a mirrorless DSLR. I would like to know if the front tilt and swing are a fine movement with the ability to precisely set angles.

I had a Toyo 45CF (4x5 analog) for years and found that front swing was not fine enough. It had a detent neutral swing position but you had to force the swing out of the detent position and it was difficult to maintain a fine position a few degrees from detent.

I do not want to have the same thing happen with this digital view camera platform as it is expensive.

I used a Cambo Actus with a Sony A7r and an Olympus EM-5 II. I used it with enlarger lenses, and it worked well. I regret selling it. I bought it in 2015 (there abouts) and it was relatively affordable.

Thanks for the input.

I have a 35mm Pentax made for a 645 system and have used it on a Canon RP using a Photodiox tilt swing adaptor. The lens works well with lots of rise or tilt, but tilt is always the opposite direction from rise and fall.

I never thought of using an enlarger lens, good idea.

Why not check your concerns in a call to the manufacturer? I;m sure they could recommend the right setup for you. By the way, Clyde Butcher uses a Cambo Actus with a Sony full-frame camera and Mamiya RB67 medium-format tilt-shift lens. I imagine you need a medium format to get a large area of coverage needed for the full frame sensor because of the tilts.

I once bumbed into Clyde at a photo store in Bradenton, FL. We talked about using the Actus and A7RII (2015) with enlarger lenses.
