Digital/laser ra4 paper with analog exposure?

I see sometimes advertisements for digital RA4 paper, I wonder if this is usable with analog exposure and if so what the difference will be from normal RA4 paper. The process itself is the same, fortunately.

I use Fuji Crystal Archive DP-II - which is says is 'optimised' for digital exposure - works fine for me - great colours, good contrast. Needs a little less red filtration that Kodak Endura Premier. My Kodak paper is pink, Fuji is blue!

I use Kodak RA4 paper (off a bulk roll) and there is no difference between that and Fuji! Except compared to Fuji Kodak is vastly superia.

The digital optimization means that it is optimized for very short exposures.
Which may mean that there are reciprocity failure issues with very long exposures.

Which, at worst, would mean that changes of exposure time with lens stop wouldn't be quite as simple and might need another test print/strip and the filter pack might change a bit more with exposure if the layers vary in reciprocity characteristics. Those are not exactly big problems.

The digital papers have higher contrast. This is very evident when you compare standard Fuji CA and DPII side by side. DPII will give you punchier colors but also more problems taming the highlights with negatives that have a wide brightness range.

Actually no, it was my mix up of words/names but I stand by what I say about Kodak being better, however others may dissagree, it is just what I find
