I have a Linhof M679 that I use with a Hassy V film back, I'm thinking of getting a used Fuji GFX 50R and mounting it on the 679 with an adapter plate. I might eventually build a shifting back and stitch, but not initially. I have a bag bellows for the 679. I typically use a 150mm lens on the Hassy and on the 679, not much of a wide angle person.
Any thoughts on how that would work out compared to buying (for example) something like a Phase1 40 - 50MP back? Pros/Cons?
Mine is the original M679 version with no shift/rise in the back or front. In later versions they added that, but on mine rise is done by tilting the camera base and then straightening up the front and back.
Thanks
