Different types of Rollei 35 SE

Recently discovered that there are two slightly different variations of Rollei 35 SE‘s: the ones with a mechanical aperture lock lever, and others without.

Has this lever been added or removed during the production period of SE‘s?

Looking at pictures on the www, some have the lever, others don't.
Guessing the newer ones are sans lever as a cost-cutting move.
The Rollei book makes no mention of the change.

Mine didn't have one. Did any other models have it?

Seems all previous iterations I've seen or used had the lock.
