did delta change their formula recently? Ive been using delta for about 2 years (shot @ 50ISO) and all the sudden I am getting a lot more grain out of this film than is typical, for me, so i am just curious if Ilford changed something?
thanks

Perhaps your developer has deteriorated in storage? I use 120 Delta 100, and find no change in grain size.

Dear Blade,

We have not changed anything

I use Delta 100 almost exclusively in both 120 and 4x5 sizes, and develop in D76 1:1. It's the same fine film it's always been, so there must be a variable in your procedure that you've not accounted for.

I find Delta 100 to be wonderful film if it's exposed and developed properly. If underexposed and overdeveloped, it can produce some mighty grain. I like it when used within its range. It just seems to me it has less exposure/process latitude and "guts" than other films I've used.

AFAIK the current Delta 400 is in it`s 3rd generation while the current Delta 100 is still in it`s 2nd generation. These have been around for quite a few years now though, so no recent changes to worry about.
The increased graininess that you are observing might be due to over-exposure and/or over-development. Try E.I. 80-100 and see if that makes a difference.

No. The current Delta 400 works really well in Xtol and DDx. It does not work in D76 like the original two generations did. The current generation of 400 is 5/10 years old so you probably do not have any middle generation.

The current Delta 100 is at least 10 years old.
