In a way I wouldn't mind playing with a toy camera. I had a plastic camera at about the age of four or five and loved it. The Lomography Shop has a reproduction of the Diana F+, but is it really worth 95 USD plus 45 USD postage? Any satisfied users out there?

I wouldn't pay $150 for that kind of thing. I don't think I'd ever buy from lomography company, much as I like their contribution to keeping people coming to film. They take this idea of cobbling your way into photography the cheap way, then skillfully present it with a bunch of youthful cross-processed images and marketing hype and mark it up 1000%. Hell, have you checked their prices on the lubitel 166B? You can get one from ebay for $25 or so, and they charge upwards of $200.

The US Govt. is threatening to send some tax money BACK to the tax payers (yes, a very miniscule percentage of what they TAKE in) in the hopes that we will buy Holgas and Dianas and film and other imported photo goodies, and get the economy moving ever upward again. I wish they would take SOME of the money and fix some of the dang potholes in the roads caused by the harsh winter, which somehow (nobody is sure how this could be happening) is caused by global (or local) warming. It MUST be an election year in this country. The only GOOD news about all that is that in less than 365 days we will have a different president than the one we have now.

Or, take some of the free money (if it ever gets here) and buy a half a sack of groceries, or make part of a mortgage payment, or hire a good (do they have to be good?) bankruptcy lawyer.

i agree that the lomo shop isnt the cheapest place you can get the diana and other cameras from but i have spent more on apperently "superior" cameras and been really disappointed. Its different for everybody. I got a Bronica SQA and back for £90 which i think is cheap, others might disagree.
As for picture quality, my friend uses her diana f+ alot and gets really good images

Buy on Amazon!!!

I just bought the Diana F+ from Amazon for $40 and free shipping. It doesn't come with the flash, but it's cheaper than the regular Diana. It's a great camera i've used it a lot already. i suggest developing it yourself, though, because it's getting expensive.
