Diana F+ flash in Diana F

Will Diana F+ flash fit into Diana F?

I assume the Diana F has a M synchronisation, which means it closes the contact before the shutter is right open. The Diana F+ though is X-synchronised.

(I never used my Diana F so far..., but you just could give it a try. The descriptions by Lomography link the their Diana electronic flash only to the Diana F+.)
