The younger of the two brothers in the new movie Jurassic World appears to be taking pictures at the park with a blue and black Diana camera. It also appears he has a toy view camera in his bedroom.

I saw those.. They look like rangefinder cameras. I remember having a view master as a kid and I recall having the Dino reel too. I was a big Dino nut too. Fun film.

I noticed that too. The kid's bedroom is full of old analog cameras.
The movie itself was shot on 35mm and 65mm IMAX negative film.

That's the reason why it looks as good as a good movie from the 80s.

I noticed the same in the movie, and was pleased! Also, this movie was shot on 35mm and 65mm KODAK film, so it's a film supporter all around

Just saw the film today... I also noticed the view cameras... And the Diana... If that is what it is.

Did you notice he was snapping pictures left and right, and never wound it once? He must have the optional power winder for the Diana.
Then, it suddenly disappeared when he walks around the corner. Extinct. Either he left it by the drinking fountain, or he thought it was a disposable camera.

Today's kids have no clue on how to operate a film camera, you can't blame the actor.

Have you seen "Horns"? In a flashback scene the redhead girl has a nice black Pentax M series, I couldn't recognise the model, however the actress was holding it like a digital camera without touching the focusing ring on the lens.
