Im about to give ATM 49 a try with tri x and foma 400,
I have put a test roll through undiluted at 9 mins 1 min agitation
3 inversions every minute, as you know TRix is expensive, does anybody have any bench notes on this developer as little seems to be written down on this developer.
will also look at 1:1 and 1:2 dilution rates, but would prefer stock figures
if there is any adavantage to diluted atm 49 please advise

In digitaltruth, A49 is listed as equivalent to the Agfa Atomal.
Take a look there.
cheers

At one time Calbe A49 may have been similar to Atomal but no longer. The developing agent N-(beta-hydroxyethyl)-o-aminophenol is no longer available from any source. No company makes it; it is an orphan chemical. Calbe substitutes one of the color developing agents for it. In addition, they no longer use catechol due to its toxicity. It's still a fine grain developer but the composition is entirely different from Atomal.
