Development problem, I'm confused

I don't know this camera, but I had leaks identical to these years ago with a Leica whose FP shutter curtain had very small leaks from becoming verrry slightly detached from the frame mechanism holding it together. Severity depended on duration of sitting curtain, etc. Fixed it with some black stuff (very carefully).

Good advice so far, what I do not understand is the 645 (1000S) does not have a changeable back, and the insert being a different size would not fit the RZ.

Well, I tried...

If films from different cameras and different film containment chambers and transport mechanisms exhibit an IDENTICAL error ... ?!?!?

I'm not saying that it cannot happen ... but ... wow!! What a coincidence!!!

"Last resort" thoughts ... The same person attempted to repair/ maintain both cameras ... making the same error ... ???
Somehow, inadvertently, the identity of the exposed rolls were confused ... and both actually were exposed in the same camera???
I'll admit neither is likely, nor is some weird curse from a competing photographer well versed in the Black Arts...

I am left incurably curious.

I will, Ed. I'm going to drop off my 645 this week to get a CLA and then I'm going to replace the seals on the questionable film back myself.

Although I do have to admit, your comment about a competing photographer being well versed in the Black Arts has me a little paranoid now

Well, it was light leaks on both the 645 body and the RB67 back. I just can't believe that it showed up on both of these around the same time. What dumb luck...
