Well, that's certainly true if you're planning to drink it! If you're planning on wasting perfectly good beer on developing film, any Anheuser Busch product seems about appropriate.yo
u are probably right but people would still argue that the original Budowar would work better than the US version from Anheuser Busch.
I almost just laughed beer through my nose.I wonder if recycled beer would work?
What would you name it?I almost just laughed beer through my nose.
Slightly used? What would you name it?

More like P76.Slightly used?
One of my favorite sayings! You know, you can't buy beer, you can only rent it!
Have you ever seen the Genesee River in Rochester? I would not want to drink anything made with that water including beer. Heck I would not use it to flush a toilet!
Guinness gives you more control over shadows, but personally, I only use craft lager because it can really tame the highlights, depending on dilution.I drink my beer! Although, I am not a big fan of beer. I prefer Guiness!

Radicals! No wonder beer makes me act crazy sometimes.https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10628372
Ascorbate and any polyphenols in beer may produce radicals that effect the reduction of exposed silver bromide.
There is a discussion on my Flickr group from someone else about FP-4: https://www.flickr.com/groups/3705975@N20/discuss/72157701466680234/@BAC1967 posted links to his twitter discussion group, in which various films are discussed, including IIRC also Ilford FP4+.
I've never developed film without beer. but,I've never actually put the film into the beer."Developed" with the cooperation of Kodak. I guess it makes more sense than crypto-currency.

There is a guy on Flickr doing that. What would you name it?
I have done experiments with B&W print development in some version of Beerenol (regular lager beer, ascorbic acid, washing soda, Salicylic Acid and Triethanolamine). This thing is mostly inactive until you add loads and loads of washing soda. Nobody should even think about touching this liquid, much less drinking it.If they made this stuff to be drinkable and develop film I suspect it's not as strong of a developer as my recipe. I wouldn't even think of drinking my recipe.
